I think most of you guys have horrible experiences returning home by train during the spring festival. Train tickets are not always available and even if you got one, the carriages are extremely crowded and trains often arrive late. It is said that there are over 120 million people working outside their hometowns in China, over 60% of whom come home during the spring festival. This poses great pressure to our country’s transportation and leads to our bad experience when traveling by train.

Most of the people ,who live in rural areas but work in cities, are known as migrant workers. In Chinese, they are “农民工”, which literally means peasant worker. The migrant workers flow is obvious, from country to urban, from less developed areas to developed areas, from west China to southeast China. So, what’s the living status of migrant workers? what can they do in big cities ?Most of the male do physical jobs such as working in the building sites. And most of the female work in clothing factories or companies producing electric components. The working environments are not very well and money they earn is disproportion with what they pay out. Most of them do laborious jobs with a minimum wage。 What ’s worse ,many migrant workers can’t even got paid in time. Although they contribute a lot to development of urban areas, they can not gain enough respect from public.

 When seeing the true living status of our country’s migrant works, I bet we all know that some things must be done to change the situation. To ensure the rights of migrant works ,and respect them as our neighbors ,our brothers and sisters is not just a slogan. Let’s do it from now on, do it from trivial things. We can make it , coz we really care.
